Description
As my current housemate is relocating for a new job, I am looking for a friendly housemate for a centrally located house in a quiet neighbourhood.
The communal space includes a large living/dining area, garden, spacious hallway and kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine and gas hob. The bedroom comfortably fits a full double bed with space for a desk or armchair. The bedroom also has two double built in wardrobes, giving plenty of storage space. The bright family sized bathroom of the house is adjacent to the bedroom, which would be your private bathroom. The bathroom comes with an electric shower and full size bath.
In addition, the bedroom comes with a second room which could be used as an office or dressing room. The second room also has built in wardrobes (3 doors) and faces the garden. As an indicator of size, the second room fits a small double bed (pictured).
The location is a huge advantage of the house. Within 15 minutes, you can walk to the station or the city centre. Most of the university buildings are close by. Even if you work at Addenbrooks, you can cycle there comfortably within 15 minutes from the house. The proximity to the train station also makes it suitable for those who commute to London.
I have lived in Cambridge for around five years and work full time in biological research. I enjoy having a friendly and relaxed house where we have a good chat and socialise but also respect each others personal space and independence. I enjoy cooking, socialising with friends and travelling.
I'm looking for someone easygoing who enjoys a nice living space and I'd appreciate someone who keeps the shared living space (especially the kitchen) nice and tidy. The room is open to professionals or postgrad students.
The house is unfurnished but has been furnished by the tenants for communal use. The main bedroom comes with a small double bed.
The room is available from the 11th of October but moving in earlier e. g. from mid September can also be discussed.
Get in touch if you would like to come for a viewing. If you could include some details about yourself e. g. what you do for a living, your personality, and what sort of house you are looking for and duration of tenancy, that would be great. Also please get in touch if you have any questions.
The utilities are about 150 p. p. per month (varies between winter and summer), including gas, electric, WiFi and water. Council tax is an additional £143 p. p per month.
