Description
We have an unfurnished room available in a friendly, lived-in 3-bed house in Cambridge city centre, right by Grafton (literally across the road), next to a gym, and around 20 minutes to the train station.
The room
Unfurnished (you’ll need to bring/buy your own furniture)
An outgoing housemate is selling some furniture at a reduced price if you want an easy option (details to follow)
The house
3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom (with a bathtub)
Shared kitchen/living room with our furniture, including a sofa and a big TV — we use this space to relax and socialise
Washing machine (provided by the letting agency)
Tumble dryer (ours, and we’re happy to share)
We share kitchen equipment/amenities (pots, pans, utensils, etc, I think you'd be fine without bringing additional kitchen equipment.)
Bike storage in an outdoor shed
Additional storage space in a storage room and upstairs in the attic
Rent & bills
£620 per month
Deposit: one month’s rent
Bills not included (paid separately; typical/standard for the area)
About us / who we’re looking for
You’ll be living with a male couple: one of us is a postdoc working from home, and the other is a nurse with a busy shift pattern. We’re friendly and happy to chat/socialise, but we also respect everyone having their own space, if they wish to.
We’re looking for a tidy working professional, ideally female, who’s considerate in a shared home. We keep things running smoothly with a cleaning rota, though usually everyone just picks up what needs doing. Ideally looking for someone working full-time
Viewings
The house is very cozy and lived in (so it won’t look like photos from the inventory, except for the room to be let), and we’ll always do a viewing — ideally in person, but online is also cool. We also like to have a quick chat to make sure it feels like a good fit on both sides.
If you’re interested
When you message, please include:
What you do for work (and your typical working pattern)
Your ideal move-in date
A couple of lines about you and what you’re looking for in a house share
Whether you’ve lived in a house share before (and how that went for you)
Just a bit about your current situation so we have a sense of who we’re speaking with — it helps us make sure it’ll be a good fit for everyone.
