Single room available in cosy Chesterton house

Hello!

we are looking for someone new to move into our house in Chesterton from mid-May. The room is very bright and gets direct sunlight most of the day. Even though it is a small room, it fits everything you may need. It comes furnished with a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a bed. Downstairs we have a very spacious living and dining room and a small kitchen equipped with all the spices you can think of. From the kitchen you can reach the conservatory, where you can work if you work remotely or simply store your bike.

Kat and Amber live in the house and will be your new house mates. Kat works for a start-up that tests medical equipment and has been living in the house for almost four years. She likes cold-water swimming and the outdoors, is interested in history and politics and always up for a lively discussion during dinner. Amber moved into the house one year ago and is a postdoc working on tropical diseases. She is very active and likes to go running and swimming, but is also a great cook and baker (especially her cheese cake is very good!). We like to keep the house tidy and clean, and would like to welcome a new house mate with similar habits.

The house has a front garden with mainly flowers and some herbs, and a larger garden in the back with a terrace, a tiny pond and our own compost. Kat mostly takes care of the garden, knows all about plants and would welcome a new tenant with gardening interests enthusiastically!

The location of the house is really nice. Chesterton is a quiet and residential part of Cambridge, and the river is just a 5-minute walk away. However, there's a pub just across the street with a nice beer garden and some great cafes nearby. A Tesco Express is just around the corner and a Tesco superstore, Aldi and Lidl a 5-minute cycle away. You can also walk along the river into town in 20 minutes.
