Large Single Available In Cosy LGBT Home

Hello!

We are two friendly, chilled professionals in our 30s looking for a third housemate from the 1st of September.

The house is a cosy 3-bedroom terrace with a garden, north-facing living room, and lovely kitchen with underfloor heating. The house came unfurnished so we bought a few things like the white goods and some furniture.

As well as this:

- Brand new boiler installed in December 2024
- New electric shower/shower panel installed in January 2025
- New fridge in Feb, so more energy efficient. Though it's a bit small…

The Landlady is a local yoga teacher and really approachable and understanding, which helps a lot - she used to live here so she cares about the condition of the place.

In terms of bills, a rough breakdown is as follows:

Rent: £1760 - I pay the rent to the landlady and the housemates set up a standing order for their share of the rent to be paid to me by the 28th. Single room is £506 per month
Utilities: £90-180 depending on the time of year
Water: £45 total paid monthly
Council tax band C: £210-300 depending on time of year
Broadband: Vodafone's superfast fibre broadband £28

About us:

I'm Yaz - a freelance actor/writer and WFH for my day job in marketing. Love cooking, movies, ecology, and philosophical evening chats as well as going to the Blue Moon's monthly drag night or Bar 196. Shan works for a conservation charity in town and is into swimming/yoga/hiking.

We're looking for a friendly, mature and responsible person to share our peaceful home with. People who do their own thing but also enjoy chilling in the living room watching a film and having a chat so it doesn't feel like a house full of strangers. It's a small home with thin walls/floors so looking for people on a similar 9-5 schedule.

The caveat is that the landlady is planning to sell the property within the year, so looking for people who we vibe with who'd be down to move into another whole property together as it tends to be cheaper!
