Description
Hello,
I moved to Cambridge over 18 months ago with a friend from school and whilst he has decided to buy a house (very grown up, I know), I have decided to stay put and look for a new housemate.
The house is a calm, bright and spacious terraced house in Chesterton, with easy links to the Cambridge Science Centre and Cambridge North Station. The house is an easy 5-minute walk from the river and the smelly cows on Stourbridge Common. Google says it's a 10-minute cycle into the city centre.
The house is a whole house share, shared with my good self. The room available is a double room with a desk, built-in wardrobe and overlooks the back garden. The house itself has a bright kitchen (gas hobs. What a luxury, gas hobs!), a spacious dining/lounge area, lots of storage space, and a shared bathroom.
I am looking for a new housemate from 1st October for a minimum of an 8-month duration. September move-in dates may be possible.
I am looking for a clean, tidy and non-smoker. Professional or PhD student. Unfortunately, can't accommodate for pets (I'm sorry!).
A bit about myself: I am a 31-year-old trainee science teacher. I enjoy sports, music, reading, cooking, drinking, and finding something half decent to watch on the telly. I am currently recovering from a knee injury so my normal hobbies of triathlon and football are thwarted for the time being. My 30's have also hit me hard: I am now finding enjoyment in reading cosy crime novels and I have taken a keen interest in craft beer, particularly stouts and porters. What's next? Radio 2 breakfast show?
Other than that, I am relaxed and sociable. I'm looking for a chilled and relaxed housemate that can be a good mate as well as a good housemate.
Viewings available Monday to Sunday. If you're interested, drop me a line and we can arrange something.
Other information:
Approx. price for bills: ~£160 per person per month, including council tax (band B), internet, TV, and Gas and Electric.
Parking: 2 spaces
Garden: front and back. Back is patioed.
Brucey bonuses: bike shed, Christmas tree, BBQ, Virgin TV, too many books about wine.
Cheers,
Harry
