Live-in landlord, (though often away). One large bedroom at back, with morning sunshine and views over garden and fields; other large one at front with evening sunshine and view over front garden. Small bedroom with view over front garden.
7 mins walk from rail station (5mins to Cambridge by rail; 1hr 20mins to London Liverpool St). Buses and N11 bike route (25mins to central Cambridge/ 10mins Addenbrookes).
Shared bathroom (shower, bath, loo); plus downstairs toilet. Small, sunny kitchen (gas cooker & microwave). Shared living room (front, evening sun) & sun room (back; with washing machine).
Locked undercover storage for bikes.
Small front and large back garden (with patio, lawn & fruit trees). Off-road parking for 2 cars (mine occupies one of these spaces; there is also on-road parking, if needed).
Most shared bills included in rent (including gas, electric and water, the band D Council tax, broadband). Cost of weekly cleaner to be shared 4-ways among occupants.
I (the live-in landlord) am a busy researcher/lecturer—I am away for much of the year for work. Looking for responsible lodgers, who can help look after the place (and will keep it clean and tidy, etc.) when I'm not there—which is up to 8 or 9 months a year, usually for a fortnight at a time, sometimes for a month. My family live a few doors down and can help, in case of problems, when I'm not in the UK.
I'd prefer lodgers who can commit for 3 months (until end December) or longer (but willing to consider other arrangements). Couples welcome to apply, but I would expect you to take the small room as well.
Not suitable for people who play loud music, as the shared walls with our quiet neighbour are thin! (With headphones, fine.)
