Double room in Harston - dog lovers welcome!

Hi!

I’m looking for a new housemate to commit to a 12-month lease at my lovely, large house in Harston. Harston is a great location just below Trumpington - there is a bike path all the way into town, and buses run through the week from a bus stop 5 mins away.

The house has 2 double rooms and a smaller single - this has great potential for an office or second living space, and there is scope to reconsider the rent balance if you’d like this third room as your own space. There is also a large garden, sunny kitchen and extension, dining room and lounge - plus parking!

You would be living with myself and my little rescue dog, Waffle. I’m a 34-year-old Australian professional who likes reading, knitting, camping and hanging out with friends in Cambridge and London. Living in a clean house is important to me, but I don’t mind a bit of a lived-in vibe! I’m looking forward to a housemate who is happy to have a chat about their day and occasionally have a meal together or watch TV, but equally respects each others space and downtime. Equal contribution to house admin and chores is a must.

Waffle is an energetic tiny rescue who has been with me for less than a year - he had a rough start to life and is steadily building up his confidence, but is definitely a work-in-progress! To live with us you will need to be 100% a dog person, be comfortable around a small vocal dog, and be patient enough to commit to the long-term training goals we have in place. Waffle is really good with cats and other dogs and this is something we could consider, but it would ultimately be at the discretion of the landlord.

We're looking for someone to join us around 23 November, but there may be scope to move this date earlier if needed.
