Nicely furnished large room with an en suite toilet and shower available in modern detached house in Stukeley Meadows, Huntingdon.
No smokers or even those who smell of smoke when they view.
There is also access to a bath shared by the household if you wish. The room is on the 2nd floor with a key lock for your security. I also work remotely from home so that's an additional layer of security as there is almost always someone in the house. There is double glazing, plenty warm. Your room also has three sets of two power sockets in convenient places.
High speed wireless broadband is also included in the price, as is council tax, water, electricity, etc. only bill I can think of that's not included is a TV license.
There are two personal cupboards for you and a personal fridge of your own in the kitchen. Most other equipment is shared. There are two freezers between the four housemates (no history of space issues either). There is a microwave, a large oven, an electric oven, a pressure cooker, a kettle, a toaster, and a four piece induction hob (induction compatible cookware provided for use so don't worry if yours are not compatible).
There is a separate dining room, convenient space for keeping a bicycle, and conservatory to the garden, all for use by all. There is also plenty long term storage space with an attic and storage space above the garage. The room itself has a LOT of storage behind the wall mirror.
There is a utility area with a washing machine and separate dryer along with extra shelving. These are free to use by all.
The room itself has a solid king bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, all in good condition. If you'd like more such as a desk, chair, bed side table, etc. that can be arranged free of charge.
There is a driveway or parking directly outside the front door, LOADS of parking on the street, and the house is a 15-20 minute walk from the Train Station or the Town Centre as well as having easy access to the A14/A1.
I seek a long term tenant, someone who lives quietly and well with others, a good neighbour. I keep the rent very reasonable to foster a long term relationship and make up for the mess. I don't expect you to clean up after others, but you are expected to clean up after yourself (excluding the odd crumb here and there).
We have a few small house rules e. g. quiet after 10pm and near silence after 11pm.
I mostly manage things like taking out the rubbish/bins, I may ask you to handle them a few times a year of course (due to conflicting obligations). But general rule of thumb is you aren't expected to do chores.
You are expected to recycle, and not put trash in the recycling.
We have an anonymous virtual suggestions/complaint box, feel comfortable knowing you have an outlet to fix issues you don't like (as a tenant myself not long ago I hope to make a good value for price environment for all my lodgers).
Whilst you are allowed visitors, I expect them at most a few times a month, and they must not be rowdy nor inconsiderate to the other residents.
