The owner lives in this spacious full of character relaxed house, which was a family home with her 2 children who are now 31 and 24. She has one lodger a young woman of 29 who is working and has lived here for 2 years. The lodger who is leaving has lived here for 7 years. Everyone has been happy because we are all friendly and respectful, while being mindful of each other's privacy and interests. .
It is near to Central Park, a beautiful Victorian park with lots to do and activities, 5 minutes walk for the college and one university campus, 15 minutes walk to the other campus and into town. Bus stops for main routes are 2 minutes walk and the train station is 25 minutes walk. It is ideally located.
We welcome hard working full time students or perhaps on a year work placement and professionals with good references who would like lodging in a stable, friendly family environment. if you are a party animal and or take drugs, this is not for you although we do welcome friends. And of course you can come and go as you please.
You will share the family kitchen including facilities and equipment, utility and amenities. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is for the lodgers and a beautiful garden for communal use.
There is reliable Wifi. Bills are inclusive.
There is parking but a parking permit is required from the council. This could be arranged but would not be included in the rent. It costs approx £25.00 per annum. Bikes can be locked away in the shed.
All we ask is that the lodger keeps the communal areas clean and tidy after use. Friends are welcome but excessive noise and parties aren't.
We have had a number of short term lodgers and longer term lodgers and all have left lovely testimonials. A visit is highly recommended.
