Description
Good-sized furnished room (double bed, large built-in wardrobe, desk with drawers, bedside table with drawers) in a large house in Rampton. Modern house set within large gardens of around half an acre in quiet street. Plenty of off-road parking available. Two bathrooms, three toilets, good-sized kitchen and living room, conservatory. Large chest freezer, washing machine, fridge, dishwasher and all the other mod cons!
Rampton is a small village, about 6 miles north of Cambridge, between the larger villages of Cottenham and Willingham, both of which are about 1. 5 miles away. These two villages have most things you need: Co-Op, pharmacy, GP, garage. Rampton itself has a cosy and friendly pub, a garage and a village hall, and the village itself has a great community spirit. There is easy access to Cambridge and north Cambridge villages, also the Cambridge Science Park. It is a short distance to the guided bus route (Oakington, about 10 minutes bike ride), 15 minute drive or half hour bike ride (mainly along cycle paths) for access to Cambridge. 10 minute drive to the A14/M11.
My partner and I are reasonably clean and tidy and would expect the same from a lodger. Other than that, we are pretty easy-going, enjoy company and a chat, the odd drink ... but we are also happy to keep to ourselves and respect another person's needs for space! I have 4 kids who come to me on alternate weekends and Wednesday nights. No problem with well-trained pets nor with occasionally inviting friends/partner round.
