We have a double-room available in our comfortable, spacious house in Stow-cum-Quy, on a 1 acre property.
We are looking for either a Monday-to-Friday lodger (£450/month) or whole week (£520/month).
All bills are included in the monthly rent, with use of the fridge, washing machine, drier, vitamix blender, etc. We have a large kitchen, two bathrooms, and third toilet, all of which you would be able to use.
The room is 3. 3m x 3. 3m, with a bed, desk/shelves, and large wardrobe, as shown in the photos. There is underfloor heating throughout the house, with individual temperature controls in each room. We also often have a log burner in the entrance hallway during the colder months.
About us:
The house is owned by myself and my wife (in our 40s/50s), and we have a friend already living here.
We are looking for someone who is clean, tidy, and appreciative of maintaining a 'conscious environment'. It is a non-smoking house, and we would prefer a vegetarian, or at least with only occasional meat cooking.
Transport & Parking:
We have plenty of parking in the large driveway area in front of the house. A bus stop for Cambridge is 5-10 minutes walk down the road, and there is also a Park & Ride 10 minutes cycle ride from the house (or a few minutes drive). There are cycle paths much of the way into Cambridge, which takes me about 25 minutes to get to the top of Hills Road from here.
The Cambridge Science Park is only 6 minutes drive, as we are close to the A14.
The Stow-cum-Quy village has a small shop and post-office, and the Bottisham village (a few minutes drive) has takeaways, restaurants, grocers, post office, etc.
