Room to rent in Chester city centre

Hi there,

We are a couple living in an apartment right in the center of the city looking to rent out our spare room. The room is a double room with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, chair and lamp - smaller furniture can be moved around if needed. You will also have access to your own bathroom as we have an en suite and don't really use the main bathroom.

Shared spaces include a large living room, kitchen and downstairs toilet. My partner and I have use of the other three rooms. One is a library which separates our room from the spare room and the other is for my partners daughter (two years old) who stays with us around 2 nights every two weeks or so. We also have a cat.

We are looking for one person to rent the room from us, though we would be willing to accept couples with an adjustment to the rent. We can discuss this.

All bills including WiFi is included in the price.

We are looking at a minimum of 6 months with a move in date around the beginning of January which is when the bills are paid. We can discuss an earlier move in date if needed but the first rent payment will be adjusted to accommodate this.

I am a female, 30 years old, studying a PhD. I am home most of the day but generally keep to myself as I am working. My partner works full time. We both enjoy socialising, but are happy to welcome anyone whether you prefer to keep to yourself or want to be around more. We both enjoy gaming, going out at the weekend for a couple of drinks, watching movies, and eating good food. My partner primarily spends his spare time playing games. I am a big reader.

All we ask is that you keep your room and bathroom in a tidy, clean condition and wipe up/put away after yourself in communal areas. We both try to do a big clean of the apartment at least once a month.

Please note the apartment is accessed by two lots of stairs from the main street so not suitable for wheelchair users.
