Description

You will have a choice between two rooms depending on your preference! Room One is a light airy room with a comfortable double bed! Window out to the garden!
Room 2 is twin bedded! The beds are super comfortable! The focal point in this room is an old beam that has likely been reused from the original roof timbers c 1660! It has two windows although with less light than Room 1! If you like a cozy nest then this could be the room for you! Originally this room was an attic for the village shop below! Think bags of flour and corn etc.
Fear not though as you don’t have to climb a ladder to get to this room as it’s fully integrated at upstairs level!
Both rooms are immaculately clean and are furnished tastefully with a pared back vibe! If you have loads of stuff then it’s likely these are not suitable for you!

The house is detached! The original build is 1660 with an 1830-1860 extension that served as the village store for over 200 years! It’s not in any way a grand house - more a simple farmhouse, possibly even originally a parsons house!
There is a shared living room with a log burner, cozy and warm on winter evenings and light and cool in summer heat!
The shared kitchen is a galley kitchen, functional and not yet modernised! It serves it purpose! The eating area is in the shared living room - a small farmhouse table looking out to the lovely garden!
There is a shared bathroom with a fab shower and a slipper bath. The view out of the sash window is to the garden!
There are other rooms in the house that I’m continuing to repair and conserve and one of these ( the snug) could be used as needed for an office/ reading room - that one is a work in progress snd has beautiful morning light! I have put up visitors in there more recently!
The only noise that might disturb your sleep is the dawn chorus!
I will be the only other occupant! I’m super busy with a wide range of activities- (running yoga Pilates gardening to name just a few!)! However one of my main activities is repairing and conserving the house room by room! If you are interested in one of the rooms I would tell you more about that!
The room that is not chosen will continue to be an occasional guest room! You would of course have full use of the lovely garden.
I will definitely not be in your age bracket so if multigenerational living does not phase you then you are welcome to enquire! I’m very easy going and kind!
You would need a car or a bike to get to local train stations!
