I have one double room available in Handbridge from the 23rd of August. £600 pcm including all bills (water, gas, electricity, broadband, TV licence and council tax). We have a cleaner who takes care of all communal areas on a fortnightly basis, this is also included in the rent.

Handbridge is a beautiful, quiet village just South of the River Dee and is only 10 minutes walk from Chester city centre. The village itself has a range of traditional pubs, independent shops and cafes. Handbridge is ideally situated for local professionals with both Chester business parks and Broughton within a 15 minute drive. Chester train and bus stations are within walking distance and the M56 and M53 are both easily accessible for those working further afield.

The house is a spacious, renovated 1930s end terrace on a large corner plot at the end of a quiet cul de sac overlooking the meadows. It has been extended to the side and rear to create a large, modern entertaining kitchen/diner which is the heart of the house. Solid stone worktops, modern units with an island, skylights and bifold glass doors leading onto the decking create a bright, luxurious space with real wow factor. There is a separate living room with a period fireplace and solid wood floor. There is a modern bathroom upstairs and a WC downstairs. Outside there is plenty of parking on the street, the large garden extends to the rear and side of the house with a decked area, lawn, large shed and a summerhouse.

The room is furnished with a double bed wardrobes and bedside tables. Additional furniture is available to suit.

I am a live-in landlord, I am sociable and easy to live with, and take pride in keeping the house and garden clean and tidy. I enjoy cooking, climbing, mountain biking and socialising during my time off.

I have owned the property for nearly 9 years and while it is in fantastic shape I will continue to improve it over time. There are no structural changes remaining but I will continually upgrade the decor, fixtures and fittings to ensure it remains a great place to live. I plan to completely re-model the outside areas in the new year.
