Large loft room (20’x16’) with ensuite shower and toilet on the top floor of a Victorian cottage in Heaton Mersey conservation area. On the ground floor there is a large well-equipped kitchen, a small well-stocked garden with herbs, leafy greens and a sunny place to sit. On the 1st floor is the owner’s study, bedroom and bathroom.
The property is well connected for public transport. It is 100 yards from bus stops with regular services to Manchester and Stockport, a 5 minute walk to East Didsbury metro and a little further to East Didsbury rail station. There are lovely walks in the immediate area across the Common, Heaton Mersey village and by the river.
I am a recently retired teacher who volunteers each weekday day in a local school. In my youth I was a professional musician and I still enjoy play ing guitar and singing in choirs. I have recently discovered the joys of walking and often go out to the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and Lake district. I am also a keen cyclist and gardener.
I would like to share my home with someone who, like me, is independent but sociable.
I have enjoyed sharing my home with a range of people over the past 10years and long may it continue.
