Double Room in Peaceful Rural Location

Friends describe my house as cosy and welcoming - that's the vibe I always try to achieve. I live a fairly quiet life; I'm long divorced, and my adult sons all live away, so now it's just me and my cat, Maisie. I'm a writer and creative writing tutor, some days running workshops in various locations locally, others working from my office at home.

I am a relaxed and sociable person, but also value time on my own. In the summer, I can often be found in a hammock in the garden! The rural location is perfect - lots of pretty walks straight from the front door. However, it's within easy commuting distance of Manchester, being within a ten-minute drive of the M6, and Crewe station is a short drive away.

Maisie, the cat, is a sweetie, a non-hunter, who spends most of her time indoors (voluntarily), so it's essential that you don't have an aversion to cats! I am a dog lover and had one until earlier this year, so I would consider a (well-behaved, cat-tolerant) dog coming to live with its owner!

So, what am I looking for in a person to share my living space with? I consider myself considerate, respectful, tolerant, and non-judgemental, so I would hope those qualities would be reciprocated.

The double room has built-in wardrobes with ample storage. There is a shared shower room and a downstairs toilet. Parking available on the driveway.
