Quiet Country Cottage

I have a large double room and a small single room to rent in my historic cottage.

The large double room has a king size bed double settee, triple wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table, television and space for a small desk if someone needs to work from home or study. There is a lock on the door.

The single room has a single bed, chest of drawers and a shelving unit/bookcase and hooks behind the door with hangers. It is ideal for someone who doesn’t have a lot of belongings and just wants a base to crash out after work.
Currently there is no lock on the single bedroom door, but I have purchased one that can be fitted.

Electric, Internet, Oil central heating, Water bills are included, except Council Tax.

The house is a stone-walled cottage dating back to the 1700’s in the most beautiful setting in the remote Ceiriog Valley.
The cottage has modern amenities such as internet, oil central heating, electric shower etc
There is a shared galley kitchen attached to the dining area, a lounge, and two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs.
The windows are old single glazed and wooden and the decor needs refreshing in some areas but the cottage is full of character!

There is a coal fired Rayburn in the kitchen and an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove in the lounge.
Suggest ideally you need a car to get around to visit Chirk, Llangollen, Oswestry and Wrexham, although there is an infrequent bus service from the valley and a mainline train station in Chirk.
Within the Ceiriog Valley there are two village shop/Post Offices, a cafe, several local pubs and hotels, and many active community hubs and clubs.


Current housemates are a retired female.
