Double room in large family home

Room for ONE person only.

We are a very friendly working family, me in healthcare and my husband is a Greenkeeper/gardener. We currently have 2 male lodgers, our current female lodger has been doing a year in industry from uni at Rock and plans to leave around August 6th and a son at uni who comes home from time to time occasionally with his girlfriend.

The house is huge and has 3 floors...we have 2 conservatory areas, utility, large kitchen, breakfast room, library, lounge, study, 6 beds - two are ensuite, there is a house bathroom and 2 other toilets. To the rear is a garden area, decking and parking nearby.

The room available is a small double room on 2nd floor with a sink, small fitted wardrobe, under bed storage, small TV and shelving unit. The house bathroom with shower and separate toilet is on this floor and shared with 1 other, and occasional airbnb guests apart from holiday periods. There is a separate downstairs cloakroom/wc available.

The house has Sky broadband and SKY TV. We share the kitchen and lounge but its never crowded as all the other rooms have TV's and sofas.

We are next to a bus stop and a short walk to the town, Bodmin Beacon nature reserve and leisure centre. For hospital staff it is a 20/25 minute walk. Parking in adjacent residential roads. There is a spar shop and fish and chip shop about 5 minutes away.

We would really like a professional person and someone who is around from time to time and sociable, that makes you less of a stranger! We also want someone who keeps the kitchen and bathroom clean after use and respects their room and our house. Please, no alcoholics, drug takers, reclusive types.

We do have a weekly cleaner for shared areas, cost incorporated into rent.

We are a really friendly bunch and we have been letting rooms in our home for about 25 years now, we also have a friendly whippet.

Please note the room will be vacated first week in August and ready on 11th August.

We always get loads of applicants but will decide who we think may be a good fit for us and invite people for a look around and chat based on your message, so please give as much info as possible, viewing does not guarantee you will be offered the room… No couples thank you, we only want one more person and you must be a pet lover!
