I’m offering someone this lovely place to live in a wonderfully tranquil rural setting.
It’s essentially a single story little cottage that you get mostly to yourself as I’m away a lot of time.
There’s super fast WiFi, your own bathroom (bath with a shower over), your own fridge freezer, all the essential utensils in the kitchen and there’s even a sofa bed in the living area for the occasional guest to stay over, (I also don’t mind the occasional boy/girlfriend staying, (though please let me know in advance so I’m not surprised by a stranger and I may ask for a contribution to running expenses if guests are here for prolonged periods).
The kitchen/living area is shared with me on the rare occasions I’m home long enough to want to cook.
You’ll probably need your own transportation as the closest bus is a couple of miles away, parking is just outside on the lane and there’s a small lockable outside yard for bike and kayak.
I’ve been holiday letting the space and it’s been very popular with only a couple of empty days in the last six months, but now it’s time to have a winter housemate to help keep the heating on.
The price I’ve posted is for one person inclusive of bills, if you’re a couple then the price increases to £280 per week to cover the extra usage. The maximum term advertised is what I can safely commit to.
I will consider a quiet and well behaved pet for an extra £10 a week provided said pet comes with you when you come to view and completes its own interview.
My room has its own en-suite, a side entrance, fridge and microwave so I’ll come and go without disturbing. The kitchen door is your entrance.
I’ll text to say when I’m home and might want to use the shared kitchen (so it’s not a surprise to see me), the last several months I’ve had holiday people here with sole use of the kitchen and I’ve not missed it other than for Sunday roasts.
I do insist on good hygiene, the place being kept clean and bedding being changed regularly, but nothing onerous as you have a washing machine, tumble dryer and I’ve provided hoover, mop and cleaning solutions etc. I’ll clean anything I do when I’m home. If you’ve questions or I’ve missed something obvious that should be included please message me.
