Description

Please read the requirements at end of description.

Your room is fairly self contained with 2 big windows so it's nice and light.
It's large enough to have a big comfy leather corner sofa, kitchenette (fridge freezer, kettle & toaster), small dining table, double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers with plenty of space to spare.
The ceiling is high with exposed beams and stripped pine floor boards.
Your ensuite has a bath with mixer shower over (great water pressure!), loo and sink.
This really is a fab space and is more like a flat than a spare room.

The room is two flights up on your own floor so you must be able to climb the stairs.
You'll have use of the laundry room on the next landing and use of the well equipped kitchen when you want to cook.
The house has gas central heating.
It's a very big house, (set over 4 stories) and sunny with lots of Victorian period features.
Laundry is £5 per load to wash and dry.

We would share a small, sunny, private courtyard garden with a 6 seat table and a swing seat.

Lostwithiel is one of Cornwall's best towns with plenty of great pubs, restaurants and community events right on your doorstep.
There is a main line train station and the A390 makes travel easy.
Parking is on street and free throughout the town.

I work from home and am looking for an independent lodger who is in full time work (not from home).
I'm happy to socialise occasionally with you but am mostly busy and fairly self contained.
I'm tidy and although I have a good social life, my home life is usually quiet.

If you're in a relationship, we'd need to agree that your partner only stays here the same number of night/days that you stay at their house.

My 2 grandsons (age 7&10) come to stay for a couple of nights each month so this can be a busy (sometimes noisy) time. Your floor is ABOVE ours so it shouldn't be too loud for you.
We are usually out enjoying Cornwall for most of their visit.

Safety requirements
Please only arrange to view the room if you can genuinely provide the following
A) Current proof of employment
B) Photo ID (passport/drivers licence)
C) Contact details for at least 2 people who know you well
D) Written reference from most recent landlord.

You will be asked to bring all of the above with you when you arrange to view the room so please contact me ONLY if you have these things.
