Description
I am looking for a reliable, tidy, clean and orderly person to rent a room who loves cats and would be willing to feed them in my absence as I will be away intermittently throughout winter so overall, you will more than likely enjoy the whole house to yourself with occasional flying visits to touchdown before I leave again on Granny duties in Dublin/ Yorkshire.
I usually do Air b&b during summer and there may be scope for negotiation if you as a housemate would be willing to continue this as a host.
The house is built on Eco principles and is modern ( built in 2006).
Penzance is two miles down the road. Be good to have your own car as transport in Cornwall in winter can be sporadic. There is a carport for easy parking. There is a village pub King William the Fourth which is run by two guys from Cambridge who have beautifully renovated this very ancient pub. There is also the Ancient Wishing Well ....half hour walk away where you tie your ribbon on the tree and make your wish.
There are buses every half an hour. The nearest shop is a mile down the road in next village of Heamoor. Local primary school and the oldest church in West Penwith. Madron celebrates Trafalgar day following its connections with the Battle of Trafalgar and Nelsons death ( his ceremony was conducted in Madron Church).
Madron is in the Guiness book of records ( as I'm told) for two reasons:
For having the most young men joining the army and losing in a football match having lost the most goals ever recorded..
Hope that gives you a flavour. It's very peaceful although there may be some building works happening in the next twelve months ( unsure when) and is built on a ley line connected to St Michaels Mount.
Madron is also centrally placed to Lands End / Morvah/ St Ives.
