A room is now available in our lovely 3 bedroom flat home near Fistral Beach and Newquay town, as our flatmate is leaving.

The room will have a bathroom shared with female(s), so FEMALE is preferred please.
No couples as it's a small room with shared bathroom.

RENT: of £600 month covers rent and council tax, water, power, gas, and internet. The lounge has a large TV.
A contribution for a regular Cleaner is desired.
Non smokers please (a no smoking, no drugs house).

Our landlord will review references, so professional is preferred; but at least someone reliable for regular rent (other flatmates have at times worked in local cafes, courier, etc).

HOUSE: is a new build with a shared kitchen, dining, lounge opening on to a small yard where we have plants. Insulation seems quite good, with most of the house carpeted and warm, and pretty energy efficient.

THE ROOM: is on the road side; in summer has good sun.
The room is furnished with a double bed, open wardrobe hanger (not proper wardrobe), small but nice chest of drawers, and a small desk and bedside table.

STYLE: We like to keep a clean, tidy, yet comfy, relaxed lived home. We occasionally have visitors, but nothing regular. We don't have big parties here.

SURFBOARD/BIKE STORAGE: We have both inside and in our yard, as well as a yard shed for more storage, and other storage under the stairs and in the lounge for jackets, shoes, etc.

LOCATION: Walking distance 5mins to Newquay Fistral and Towan beaches and town; 5min to bus station; 15min to train station. The room is on the Higher Tower Rd side of the house.

PARKING: There is one carpark but it is probably not available permanently to the new tenant; rather would be on sharing basis, and you may often need to park on the road or in South Fistral/Atlantic Rd carpark (cheapest in town). Negotiable!

SPACE: We use our lounge for yoga, workouts, tv, fixing things, all sorts. There is plenty of space in our shared space.

CLEANING: A further £20-40 per month contribution for a cleaner would be appreciated (negotiable) AND you will be required to keep your room and shared bathroom clean in particular, and contribute to regular cleaning of all shared areas. But that should be normal. Thanks!

WHO ARE WE: We are professionals. We like the outdoors, ocean, nature, gardening, contributing in our communities. We travel occasionally.

WIFI: The flat has wifi internet but it is very poor and unreliable due to BT, and a past user of the room used a toggle for broadband at own expense. But we do manage to work from home.

CONDITION: A very nice flat but there have been some issues with door handles breaking; property manager gets things fixed fast for us which is wonderful.
The Kitchen is full fitted out (dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toasted sandwich maker!), although many utensils are shared by a current flatmate. The house has many plants so we'd love someone who loves plants too :-)

LANDLORD/MAINTENANCE: We are lucky to have a lovely couple as "landlords" who visit about once a year, are on email and whatsapp if anything comes up, and invest in a fantastic local Property Manager who comes around to fix anything when needed. We are super lucky to be stable for longterm, pleasant accommodation provided by nice people.
