Located just above Fistral Beach, this is a fantastic spot within walking distance of town and with easy access to the beach.
We’re offering a furnished double room in our home, with the full family bathroom located directly next to the bedroom - for your sole use.
While not technically en-suite, it’s essentially private as it won’t be shared. (Please see the attached floor plan for clarity – you’d be using Bedroom 1 and everything up the small set of steps from the landing would be just for you. The layout has been updated since the plan, and that area now includes one large bathroom rather than a separate toilet and shower room – photos available.)
We are a married couple living in the property with our two small, slightly nervous dogs – so being a dog lover is essential! They rule the house, but they’ll love you once you’ve handed over a few treats.
Please note:
• strictly no smokers / vapers at all.
• No additional pets – our dogs wouldn’t cope well, sorry.
• Shared areas: You’ll have access to the kitchen, utility room, and potentially the sitting room (with Sky Glass TV).
• Parking: Street parking is available (no permit required), or there’s a council car park directly opposite in the park too.
This is a calm, working household – not a party house. We value peace and quiet and would prefer no additional guests unless agreed in advance (mainly for the dogs’ comfort).
I volunteer with Olio, so there’s often free surplus food available in the house to help reduce waste.
Bills are included, as long as they’re used sensibly – we just ask for shared responsibility in keeping usage reasonable. If costs rise significantly, we may need to review this.
Deposit & Rent:
• 1 month’s deposit: £795 (single person) … couple will be £895)
• First month’s rent to be paid in advance or on move-in day
• References or a guarantor required
We’re also considering hiring a weekly cleaner, which would be the only small extra cost if it goes ahead.
For transparency, the house is fitted with a Ring doorbell and a back door camera. As a lodger, you’d be given access to the app, which is especially handy for tracking deliveries.
