We are a professional, married couple seeking a quiet, respectful lodger from Jan 2025.

In Jan 2025 we will have our Garden Lodge available for a student or lecturer to rent. Sadly we cannot let from beg Sept as per the academic year. We want a student or lecturer as we only intend to let the Lodge for 2-3 yrs.

Penryn Campus is about a 20 min walk from our place. There are bus routes close by. The train station is a 15min walk. You could keep a bike at the house.
There is free parking on the road.

The space is en-suite and self-contained in terms of your bedroom and living space. We would need to arrange times for access to use the kitchen to prepare food. The Lodge is accessed by a side entrance - not through our house.

We do have 3 small dogs who use the garden and will bark - so you have to be ok with that and love dogs, because it will work better if the dogs can get to know you.

You must be a non-smoker/non-vaper and agree to keep noise to a minimum to respect our home environment and neighbours.

This is a lovely space and built to the same regs as our house (all done at same time in 2022) and has full planning permission.

Please feel free to get in touch. I would much prefer to meet any prospective lodgers in person before agreeing to them staying, but if that’s impossible, then we’ll meet online.

There will be a contract and house rules so that everyone is happy.

WiFi does reach the Lodge but I cannot guarantee it, so you should consider this. However, 4G is never a problem.

The space comes with a desk, double bed, space to store clothes/books and a very comfy sofa. There will be a fridge, kettle and microwave (with access to the kitchen to be agreed). We can provide bedding if needed. We’re hoping our cleaner will be able to do a couple of cleans a month but you will be expected to keep the space clean and tidy please.

That all sounds terribly formal - but we really want to make sure we get the right lodger, hence advertising early.

If you are a student, you will be exempt from council tax.
