Description
(Price is pcm plus electricity)
We have built a basic but charming chalet in our garden that we are considering renting out for the summer.
We have installed a normal plumbed-in toilet, sink and hot electric shower in a wood-clad cubicle to the side of the caravan. The side of the cubicle is directly outside the bed-end of the caravan, so there is a wall directly outside that window, hence the curtains being closed in the pictures. This doesn’t seem to make it too dark though, and makes for a cosy, private bed area. The caravan is housed under an enclosed roof and has a sheltered decking area out the front.
Inside, the caravan is what you’d expect from a not-so-new caravan; it has a small cooker, a fridge and plenty of cupboard space. We provide a smart television, a kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, utensils and cooking equipment. We have put in a fixed double bed with normal mattress, and the dining area boasts beautiful views across the fields. We live in a house behind the caravan and it is reasonably private, we have a badly behaved dog and a busy family life which includes regularly using the garden the caravan looks out on.
The lane that we are situated on offers a handy short-cut to the fantastic surf beaches and lobster shacks of Hayle, the charming local villages of Goldsithney and St Erth, as well as being 10-15 minutes from both Penzance and Helston. Just 5 minutes walk up the lane you will find a Co-op store with Post Office, a local social club that serves Sunday roasts, a play park, as well as the superb food served at the Packet Inn Smokehouse.
