Double room available

We have a room to rent in our home and are looking for a happy, quiet, easy going individual who would be fun to live with.

The house is located on the edge of the village and has a bus stop outside the door. There is a pavement all the way to the next village where there is a shop, two pubs and a small cafe.

Our daughters have both flown the nest and now we find the house is too big for just the two of us. We recently had a work colleague stay with us for 6 months. This was an easy experience and we enjoyed the company.

The photos show the shared areas of the house. We are naturally a tidy couple and keep a comfortable home. There is a large garden (with vegetable plot) and large driveway for you to park a car.

Please note we are a vegan/vegetarian household and would hope that you can respect cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen and keeping any meat products in the fridge in containers.

We recently lost our dog and we are actively looking for a puppy in the next few months.

We are both teachers who would like a quiet week, but enjoy ourselves at weekends outdoors cycling, walking, boating and running.

The bedroom is a lovely light room. The bathroom is primarily for you as we have our own, but if our adult daughters or guests come to stay for short times then it will need to be shared.

We hope we can find someone happy and easy to live with on a longer term.
