Hello:

I am looking for a considerate male lodger for a bungalow in Threemilestone. This property is a short walk from the University and Hospital, near to road access to the A30 and A390. There are regular bus services into Truro or going the other way, Redruth, Camborne , St Ives and Newquay.

The room is a reasonably large double but is NOT en-suite, all facilities are shared: there is a shower room, separate toilet, lounge and kitchen. Outside there is a garden (which I only use to mow the lawn, so you are welcome to it) and there is a small double driveway, so if you have a smallish car, with a bit of jiggery pokery my car and yours should be able to fit. There is a single garage which is full of the usual accumulated detritus that seem to end up in a garage, but there is room to put a bicycle if you use one.

The room is recently re-decorated and re-carpeted and the bed is a new hybrid foam thingy one. It has only been slept in once or twice by my sister while she has been down visiting.

The bungalow is, like me, from the 1970s and not exactly up to date. I try and keep everything clean as I can, you are more than welcome to run the vacuum around if you are more of a neat freak than I am!

Most importantly- I have a cat. He is an indoor cat, so you will have to get used to checking doors before you go in or out. For this reason I cannot accept anyone with a pet, sorry to say.

I am a very quiet 50 something who works hybrid home/office part time. So on the mornings I am working from home you would have to make yourself scarce. For this reason I would be looking for someone who works, but works ‘away’ . I smoke, but only smoke outside, and if you are a smoker I ask you to do the same.

The age range I have put is just a guide, but after having spent the last 10 years caring for my now 89 yo mother, some younger company would not go amiss! Although I am gay, I don’t make that a requirement for anyone who wishes to lodge. I have been a lodger myself and a landlord in the past.
