Comfortable room County Durham

We are a professional couple working from our home, which is on the edge of open country, adjoining the Sea to Sea Cycle route. We have a bright, spacious east facing first floor room overlooking the garden.

There is a supermarket, doctor and post office within walking distance. 2 miles away there is a leisure centre with a pool. We are on a bus route that will allow you to go to Durham or Newcastle, and there is room in the garage for a bicycle or motor bike.

The rent includes heating (the house is kept at 19 degrees during the day), the use of a private bathroom, all bills, wifi, twice weekly use of a washing machine, breakfast, evening meal, and the shared use of other rooms in the house.

We are looking for a writer, artist, craftsperson, IT professional, someone working from home who is willing to take care of our dog and the house from time to time when we are away. During those times, we will not expect any rent.
Our house is quiet, with no television, but with plenty of books and excellent internet access.
