A terraced, 4-bedroom, furnished and very comfortable house for students; recently insulated to easily maintain economically comfortable conditions in the room. Solid fuel central heating; though occupants prefer individual heaters in their rooms. It is presently occupied by three mature students; I am looking for a long-term tenant (a university student is ideal). The room is available now. There is a separate sitting (and dining) room. Both the kitchen and bathroom are shared. Parking space is available. There is also additional space for the store.

The location and other amenities

The house is 10-minutes away (by bus) from Durham University and 15-minutes away from Durham city centre. The bus stand is just opposite the house. As a university student, you will have a student discount for bus travel. It will not cost you more than £1 a day. You can board Arriva X12 (bus) for Newcastle for a pound!
A supermarket (coop), salon shops, a Chinese take-away, a community centre, medical stores and a dental hospital, GP (clinic), library and the church are within 2-minutes walking distance. Bowburn is a quiet rural area with nice surroundings for relaxing chill-out walks. You will have easy access to public parks, schools and a local football ground. Compared to the town centre, Bowburn is considerably less costly to live in!

Terms you need to know
1 month's rent as a returnable deposit (£260), providing the room is maintained to condition upon entry. Rent to be paid at the beginning of the month, you need to pay the rent in the first week itself. The rent does not include:- council tax, electricity and broadband bills.
3 months advance notice prior to termination of the tenancy. A student looking for a long-term contract will be preferred.
