Hi, my name is Matt and I have a spare double room that I'm looking to rent out.
I live in Chester-Le-Street right next to the park (lovely little strolls to be had here). Only a short walk to the high street. Here you'll find local shops, gyms, supermarkets (Aldi, Morrisons, Tesco etc) and transport links including a taxi rank, bus stops and a train station. Chester-Le-Street is between Durham and Newcastle and buses are frequent along this route. There is also parking outside the property and I’m very close to the A1.
I have lovingly furnished the room to a high standard. It has a brand new double bed, a large height adjustable desk, dynamic office solutions portland office chair, limited edition hemnes chest of drawers, toulouse bed side table. Please see the photos. I will also consider requests for further furnishings.
The price will include the following bills for an average user: water rates, gas and electricity, wifi (currently with Virgin Media) and council tax.
There is no TV Licence at the property and you would need to remain within the rules of this (for e. g. Netflix) unless otherwise paying for it.
My home is a quiet spacious 3 bedroomed house in a nice street and you'd be sharing it with just me. You'd be welcome to use the pictured front garden to sit in too :).
You would need to be a clean, tidy, considerate, respectful and trustworthy person. If you like to drink and party this property is not for you.
There is a road that runs adjacent to the back of the property that gets busier at peak times. I'm personally used to it but I want to be honest in saying that there is some road noise.
I have paid for my own DBS check. This is clear and dated September 2025. I’m more than happy to show prospective tenants.
