Double room available in farmhouse near Durham

Hello, I'm James and I have a double room in my farmhouse that'll be ready this September.

It's a very nice place to live. There are four big bedrooms, a huge lounge with a wood-burning stove, a decent-sized kitchen, a big bathroom and a utility room with a washing machine, drier, fridge and freezer.

We also have our own gym with a spinning bike, cable machine, preacher bench and weight bench. And there's 500 acres of land to run around on. Wow, what a place!

I live here with my brother, David, and it's actually the house we grew up in until back in 2001 when it went back on the market. I graduated from Durham this year and recently left my job with a software company to work on my own app and a couple of websites. I like a lot of music, film, tennis, dinner parties and entrepreneurial stuff; David likes football, gaming and general outdoorsy stuff. I think we're very easy to live with, but naturally I would say that.

I think we'd ideally like to live with a student. A lot of my Durham friends are former PGCE students and tended to work in schools very close to the farm (Coxhoe, Bowburn, Wingate, Trimdon) so that would make sense. It's also pretty much essential that you have your own car, since we're a mile away from the 'nearest' bus stop.

Oh, I should say that there are loads of animals too. I rescue battery hens and the farm has a stables so we're surrounded by horses. We also have a border collie puppy called Des who lives in the house, but he's very relaxed and well-behaved.
