2 large bedrooms for single occupancy available to Masters and PhD students in my spacious terraced house in Gilesgate.
The house is near to bus stops and in walking distance of a small Sainsburys, large Tesco, Aldi and Lidl and approximately 30 minute walk downhill into the city centre.
One room is on the ground floor overlooking the rear yard, furnished with double bed, bookshelf, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and chair. The sunlight fills the room during the day.
One room is on the first floor overlooking the rear of the house, furnished with a double bed, bookshelf, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and chair. The sunlight floods into this room during the day.
A 3rd room will be available from end June. It's the attic room and is suitable for anyone who wants to feel more independent - it's large, quirky, with a velux window in the roof - and furnished with a double bed, bookshelf, chest of drawers, desk and chair, and a clothes rail.
The shared bathroom with a large bath and separate electric shower is on the 1st floor. There is also a toilet with wash basin off the hallway on the ground floor.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a new electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, new washing machine and new tumble dryer. I've also provided crockery and cutlery and tea towels. There's a small table and chairs to eat in the kitchen or you may prefer to use the larger lounge/dining room at the front of the house.
The heating system was upgraded in 2019 to a combi boiler.
This house is only available to post grad students who can provide their student registration number to prove exemption from council tax.
To maintain a harmonious household I'm looking for tenants who are sociable but respectful of others and willing to take their turn in keeping the house clean and tidy, following the weekly cleaning rota. If you're focussed on your studies and looking to share with other like-minded students then why not arrange a viewing? I will give notice when I check the communal areas on a monthly basis.
