This house was our family home for over 40 years.
I live over the other side of Durham City in Whitesmocks.
I worked as a carpenter so I am able to carry out many repairs if I need to.
Located in Gilesgate near to Tesco and many other shops and amenities.
We are able to offer the tenancy to begin on the 1st September 2025 with a full years tenancy. Both rooms would be required to start on the same month.
It is ideal if you could share this house with a friend . Or possibly buddy up.
The house is 0.2 miles, 5 minutes walk from
Ernest Place Student Mansion accommodation.
Bus stop at the end of the street or walk into Durham city centre 1.2 miles and 1.5 miles to the railway station.
What sets this house apart from the others is the fact that it is extended at the rear to create a bigger kitchen and a sun room.
The rent is £210.00 per person per week or
£910.00 per person per month.
These services are included in the rent :-
Gas, Electricity, Water, TV Licence, Broadband.
The council tax account will be the responsibility of the students for the duration of the tenancy.
Students will usually be 100% exempt from paying.
You will receive full information from Durham county council on completing the exemption form. This is a simple procedure
as Durham Council are most helpful.
The living area of the house without gardens is 90 square meters .

Two double bedrooms with double beds ,wardrobes, desk,
chest of drawers, chair and heating radiator.
There is also an additional room upstairs for storage or extra hanging space or for suitcases and extra luggage you may have.
Upstairs is also the bathroom with bath or shower over the bath, basin and separate WC.
Downstairs is the sitting room, dining/study room, extended kitchen ,sun room and another WC and basin.
The house was totally redecorated in 2024.
There is a total living space of 90 square meters . Then also garden to the front and back with patio. We have a gardener who cuts the grass etc. This is included in the rent.
There will be a tenancy agreement to agree and sign, there is no extra cost for this.
