Attractive Property in Gilesgate

Looking for somewhere to live in Durham from September?

I am a postgraduate student at the University. The property has been done to a high standard.
It is in the attractive 'duck pond' area of Gilesgate - one of the largest student areas - with a little village green in front of it.

About the house:
The shared areas include: hall, sitting room, bathroom, kitchen/diner, utility room, downstairs loo, and an outside courtyard as well as a garden/patio. The rooms are all light and airy.

All bills, broadband and TV licenses are included. The house also subscribes to NowTV (GOT and movie nights are a favourite)

About the rooms:

Bedroom 1 (12'8"x 9'9") includes a double bed, oak desk, victorian wardrobe, chest of drawers, shelves and a period fireplace.

Bedroom 2 (10'10" x 7'2") is smaller and has a single bed, wardrobe, desk and shelves. It is light and decorated in neutral colours. There is also a single duvet, pillows, and bed linen available, if you don't want to bring your own.

Parking is free in Gilesgate off the main road. There is also a bike shed.

The house is less than five minutes walk from a Sainsbury's Local and the local Gilesgate shops. It is about a 10-15 minute cycle ride from Tesco Express in town or the 'big Tesco' in Gilesgate.
20-25 minutes walk from the science site, 10-15 minutes walk from City Centre and the house is in front of the bus stop.
It is close to the access to the A1(M) motorway.

Students are preferable for council tax reasons. I am quite quiet.

I have a housecat called Lola who also lives here, so cat lovers are welcome. If you are not keen on her in your room then she is relatively good if you keep the door closed.

As I am 25 and a postgrad, a postgrad or maturer housemate is more desirable. As a house, in previous years we have enjoyed movie nights and a weekly group meal, as well as outings to the seaside.
