Spacious, furnished double room in a peaceful home, within a safe, friendly community amidst nature. The room enjoys beautiful views and includes a brand-new bed. A desk can also be provided if needed.

You'll have access to a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and a relaxing lounge.

I'm ideally looking for someone seeking a long-term home (12 months+), although I'm happy to consider shorter stays for the right person. Rent is £625 per month (including bills) for a 12-month stay and £650 per month for shorter lets.

This home would particularly suit a professional, NHS shift worker (such as a doctor or nurse) working at the University Hospital of North Durham, or a postgraduate or mature student looking for a calm, restorative place to live. I will be overseas part of the time and for much of the winter, so during those months you'll have the house to yourself.

My home is a relaxed, happy environment centred on kindness, integrity and mutual respect. I'm looking for a lodger who values the same.

Nature is quite literally on your doorstep, with scenic walking trails, ancient woodland and a glacial rift just a 3-minute walk away. Whether you enjoy hiking or simply relaxing in peaceful surroundings, it's a wonderful place to unwind.

The University of North Durham Hospital is 3.3 miles away (an 8 minute journey). Durham City is 4 miles away. Buses run every 20 minutes and the bus stop is a 2 minute walk. Within a 10 minute walk there are 2 supermarkets, a great Doctor, hairdressers, post office and other local amenities.

I have lived in Oman, New York, Australia, Thailand and New Zealand and experience Sacriston to be one of the safest places I have lived and walked as a woman.
