A beautiful furnished room available for lodging with owner in an ex-miner's cottage close to nature in a friendly community. You'll have access to a well-equipped kitchen, and partial access to a comfortable lounge over-looking a stunning view of nature, in which deer sometimes appear.

The room would suit a mature professional female or student seeking a tranquil place to call home and enjoy an excellent quality of life. I will be living over seas for much of the time. When I am not present, you will have full access 24-7 to the whole house except for my room. My life is centred around compassion and I would kindly ask that my lodger respects the compassionate ethos of my home.

This is a great neighbourhood with friendly neighbours and within 3 minutes walking distance of an array of hiking trails, including through ancient woodland and a glacial rift.

Durham city is 5 miles away and accessible by bus and the property is within walking distance of an excellent doctor, Tesco, hairdressers.
