Hey Everyone!

I am a PhD student at Durham uni. I am advertising 2 double bed rooms for rent available from September 2023. Currently only me in the house. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink. Mostly at Uni. The landlord wishes to have non-smokers tenants (Students/ Professionals) who have adequate regards to others. The house is in Ushaw Moor which takes me 35-40 minutes’ walk to the Business school and colleges around it. I shop from Sainsburys, Lidl or Tesco for weekly shopping. Otherwise, there are shops and amenities, takeaways and a free cash machine etc 10 minutes walking distance from the house. The house is in a very nice community neighbourhood. Everyone is friendly and there is some incredible countryside views and popular countryside walks. It is really nice to be able to attend a highly ranked university while enjoying the countryside feel. The area is covered by the 1 pound per day student ticket and you can get 5 pounds weekly pass if you want. Bus stop is 2 minutes outside the house. To Durham Bus/train station, it takes about 10 minutes. Although, I am not a fan of buses, but I must say they really punctual, frequent and for only 1 pound unlimited day travel. If you wanted to go to Newcastle, you jump on the bus to the train station and in 12 minutes you there! So it takes me from door to door 25-30 minutes to Newcastle. By the way if you wanted to use the bus to Newcastle, then that’s also 1 pound only but takes longer than the train, 45min to 1 hour.

The kitchen is big , living room is big and pleasant overlooking the garden. New toilet and shower. All new paint. We have two gardens to the front and back of the house. Two toilets, one bath, one shower . And a separate laundry room. One last thing, if u wish to have a bicycle, we have bicycle sheds. Cycling here is amazing when going down the hills, not sure about going up the hill lol.
