Absolutely fantastic downtown location on a quiet cul-de-sac. There’s a little alley that takes you directly onto the Main Street. No need to drive or find parking, as you can simply wander leisurely around this “Gem Town” of Cockermouth. In just a short, 3-minute stroll, you can enjoy the sights as you walk or cycle from the front door along the nature paths or riverside trails, or enjoy the Kirkgate’s live music, film and theatre.
Easy cycle ride to the lakes or harder rides over Whinlatter pass.
Night life is abundant at local shops, restaurants and pubs, including the 16th century Castle Bar, a CAMRA award winning pub.
The Medical Centre, Leisure Centre, Sainsbury’s, specialty shops, and a good bike shop are all within walking distance. You might even meet your future partner here, as a couple of marriages have resulted from friendships in the house.
