Double Room to let in central Kendal

Hello,

We have a double room available in our lovely terraced house, tucked away on a quiet lane in central Kendal available to rent for the summer.

We are a couple, who are the owners of the house and we have always enjoyed living with a housemate. We own a campervan furniture business together up above Oxenholme Station. We want everyone to feel very much at home and currently we share lots of things like spices, washing up liquid, olive oil etc. as a three, with all of us just pitching in and buying whatever is needed.

The house is on a quiet street and there is a lovely community feel about the area. It is perfectly positioned for popping into town or to the Brewery Arts Centre (literally a 2 minute walk away).

The house is a 3 bed terraced house, on the lovely Captain French Lane. Which is a great location for runs up on Scout Scar and Serpentine Woods. We have a cute little back garden and the house is south facing and gets lots of sun. There is a garage out the back for storing bicycles (1 each) and other bits and bobs and, if needed, you can have a parking permit. The rent includes a fortnightly cleaner.

Our house should have everything you need to feel cosy and at home with a cosy kitchen, log burner and all the amenities. It's a very warm house with gas central heating to supplement the woodburner.

We are keen rock climbers, cycle tourers and makers. We are also eco conscious and like to use eco friendly cleaning products, recycled toilet paper etc.

Our house is kitted out with everything you should need including a washing machine, dishwasher, tv, fibre internet, comfy seating and a good garage for storing outdoor kit. We also have a spare room with a sofa-bed (we also store kit here).

We like to keep our house clean and tidy and would expect others to do the same. Because it is a small terraced house we do all have to be very tidy, washing up dishes etc. immediately.

The room is a double room on the 2nd floor of the house. It has a window, double bed, shelving, fitted wardrobe and desk. It is available from mid-April until October when we have a friend moving in.
