Description

Hello,
We have a short term let available in our lovely terraced house, tucked away on a quiet lane in central Kendal.

The room is available December 4th - January 18th (6.5 weeks and the total cost for this period is £1040). We can consider slightly shorter lets (minimum 4 weeks) but the weekly cost would go up in this circumstance. We can also consider couples (with a surcharge).

We are the owners of the house and are going away on a long distance cycle tour so you will be getting our room (we would be moving our stuff out so you would have full use of it, as if it was your own). It's a good sized double room with lovely views, south facing and directly across the hall from our spacious bathroom. There is lots of storage and a big built in wardrobe so it would suit either one person or a couple easily.

You'd be sharing the house with our lodger and good friend, Andy (and occasionally his lovely girlfriend who is also a friend of ours). Andy works in the charity/museum sector in the Lakes.

The house is on a quiet street and there is a lovely community feel about the area. It is perfectly positioned for popping into town or to the Brewery Arts Centre (literally a 2 minute walk away).

The house is a 3 bed terraced house, on the lovely Captain French Lane. Which is a great location for runs up on Scout Scar and Serpentine Woods. We have a cute little back garden and the house is south facing and gets lots of sun. There is a garage out the back for storing bicycles and other bits and bobs and, if needed, you can have full use of our parking permit for the duration of the let.

Our house should have everything you need to feel cosy and at home with a fully stocked kitchen, log burner and all the amenities. It's a very warm house and keeps the heat really well over winter. We do also have gas central heating to supplement the woodburner.

We are keen rock climbers, cycle tourers and makers. Caitlin loves pottery, board games, woodworking and folk music and Tom enjoys running, music, woodworking and cooking. We are also both eco conscious and like to use eco friendly cleaning products, recycled toilet paper etc.

Our house is kitted out with everything you should need including a washing machine, tv, fibre internet, comfy seating and a good garage for storing outdoor kit.

We like to keep our house clean and tidy and would expect others to do the same. We have a fortnightly cleaner who cleans communal areas to keep things ticking over and this would continue during the let (although might be a bit patchy over Christmas).

If you get in touch it would be great if you could tell us a bit about yourself!
