Description
St Bees is ideal for anyone who works in Whitehaven, Workington, Egremont, Sellafield and it is very near to West Lakes Science and Technology Park and the West Cumberland Hospital. St Bees is on the Carlisle to Barrow railway line.
As from 24th October 2025 we have one room free: Room 4 (please see photos). Feel free to contact me at any time. The house is in a quiet and beautiful part of St Bees, on the road down to St Bees beach, which is a 5 minute walk away. Rooms 1 and 2 are at the front of the house, on the first and second floors, facing south and you can look out to see the sea. Rooms 3 and 4 are on the first floor towards the rear of the house and look out over open fields. All rooms have individually locked doors. There are 2 shared bathrooms - one on the first floor with bath/shower, basin and WC, and one on the second floor with shower, basin and WC. At all times our tenants have use of both bathrooms, lounge, kitchen (with dining area), utility room and garden. The kitchen has a full set of cooking facilities and there is a washing machine, tumble dryer (and an additional sink) in the utility room. There is space to park 1 car off-road to the rear of the house - there is an EV Charger point here, for which extra payment would be required if it is used.
There is parking for 1 car on the road directly in front. There is space for a motorbike or bicycles. (Bicycles can be stored inside if needed.) There is further space to park just along the road when needed.
We (the landlords) live in a different area of England, but may stay at the house during short periods in the school holidays.
The tenants and neighbours are lovely.
Weekly rent includes all bills subject to a fair use policy. There is Full Fibre broadband for very fast internet access (usually around 65 Mbit/s). The only fees charged may be £25 for Identity referencing (this is rarely needed), and we will contact your employer to confirm that you are employed. (This costs nothing.)
We prefer longer term lets - e. g. 6 months or more, but may consider shorter lets, possibly at higher rent rates, by negotiation.
