Lovely house share in Cromford, Derbyshire

I’m looking for a professional person to share my 1770 three storey double fronted house in Cromford, Derbyshire (DE4 3QG). The house is fully renovated with double glazed sash windows, central heating etc.

You get the two principal rooms on the first floor interconnected as your OWN LOUNGE AND DOUBLE BEDROOM, fully furnished with an almost new memory foam bed and a nice sofa, and separated from the rest of the house by individual internal door making it feel like a mini flat. The internal door leads down to a shared renovated kitchen, to a shower room on the same floor and another bathroom on the floor above.. With the good weather coming theres a nice sitting area in the garden overlooking the rooftops down towards the centre of cromford with a sunshade and furniture.

Decor is new/almost new and both have new/almost new double bed memory foam mattresses. I had been planning to offer on Air BnB but decided that I’m just not around enough to run it as such.

The house is just off the Via Gellia overlooking an old mill and weir at the edge of the village. I’m 250 yards from 3 pubs (Boat Inn is fantastic), and Scarthin books + vegan cafe is 150 yards away which is a total gem of a place. Close to the A6 to Derby and Leek, the routes to Manchester and M6, not far from Nottingham and Sheffield. There is street parking 20-50m From the house.

I’m 53, a former teacher and university lecturer and now an educational consultant. I’m away a lot staying with my partner in Ireland or working so I’m actually not often in. With this being really quite a large and expensive house to to run and my children grown up and left this is a bit of a waste of money and too lovely a home to leave empty tbh.
