I live in a really nice house in Hadfield, Glossop. It has lots of character, lots of space and a really pretty back garden. The house is only a few minutes walk to the local reservoir and countryside, and about 10-12 minutes walk in the other direction to a railway station, with trains direct to Manchester.

I have a lovely double bedroom for rent. It has good quality matching designer furniture in it, including a king sized bed and a triple wardrobe, so there is ample storage space for clothes and possessions. All communal areas are shared.

The house is nicely furnished with a newish large bathroom, a downstairs toilet, two sitting rooms and a kitchen/diner. At the back of the house is a small conservatory, that is lovely in the summer. There is lots of safe on-street parking, a small driveway, a garage and a shed. There is a new 50" smart TV in the sitting room and a fairly new dishwasher and washing machine. in the utility room.

I'm a looking for a lodger who is honest, trustworthy, reliable friendly, independent and considerate. Because of the huge price rises in gas and electricity, (and the fact I pay all the bills), I I would like a lodger who normally works full-time all week, or at least most of the week, outside the house. I am friendly and easy going and I don't mind about age, gender, sexuality, nationality or what job someone does. I have two cats, who are very affectionate, so anyone who wanted to live here has to enjoy having animals around.

All bills are included which includes council tax, (reasonable use of ) gas and electric, water rates, TV licence, broadband and a landline. I also buy all the toilet and kitchen rolls, washing up liquid, hand soap, bleach and other cleaning detergents for the house, and these are included in the rent. This saves everyone else the trouble and cost of buying them, which would be at least a few pounds a week each and means all you need to buy is your own food.

General Information about the location and area

The area is ideal for the country, being on the edge of the High Peak District and easily accessible to Manchester city centre by train. There are also local buses.

The house is a few minutes walk from Hadfield main street, where there are shops and a few takeaways and pubs. It takes around 10 minutes to Glossop driving and less by train, It also takes about 35 mins to drive into central Manchester (non rush hour) and about 45 mins to get to Sheffield, if you have a car.
