Description

Ours is a good sized house on the edge of stunning countryside.
There are two rooms to choose from - one upstairs and one downstairs. The rooms are furnished, but we can be flexible with furnishings, eg, bed size and storage. The upstairs room is pictured with a super-king bed - that will be moved out for a double/kingsize.
Shared areas: There are two bathrooms available, one with a bath, the other with a big shower. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
Also a large kitchen, conservatory, lounge and a utility room with washer. There is a fridge in the utility you would have sole use of.
There is a drive for off-road parking and some garage space if you have a bike to store.
We have a rather lovely large south facing garden to chill in, and although we prefer a non smoker, feel free to vape in the garden on the second level, if you need to.

About us: This is a laid back, friendly family house. My husband and I live here, as does our 25yr old son. We have adult children who come and stay during the year - up to the age of 33.

We are pretty active as a family - gym, racket sports, hiking, biking, photography (we had the Northern lights over us recently). We like a laugh, won't be offended if you let out a swear word, but also appreciate quiet times and doing our own thing. If you are a big fan of Donald Trump or Nigel Farage, this probably is not the place for you!!
There are family pets - a border collie, friendly and an excellent guard dog.. We have cats and a pond with fish.

We have no lodger preference, but in truth, a shrinking violet is who needs complete quiet would not be a great idea for either party. I would describe our house as a home, not a show house. tidy and clean, but we are not obsessed with cleaning things to within an inch of its life!
My husband works from home most of the time and my son is a hybrid worker. I work part-time out of the house.

Rent is £600pcm, but if you plan to work from home, we would charge £625 pm, to cover extra heating and lighting across the year.

* Please note - available from Sept - 22nd and there is no maximum let at the moment, but we would need the room free for a few days over Christmas this year, so this would suit someone who spends Christmas with their folks or other friends, (no need to move all belongings) or wanting a short-let until Christmas week.
Rent would be a month in advance, which would then also act as a deposit.
