A bright double ensuite room in a charming cottage in the Peak District, to share with a friendly housemate and a cat. The house is up on the hills of Stoney Middleton and has great views across the valley to Curbar and Baslow edges. The house is comfortable and cozy, with underfloor heating running throughout. The house has a spacious breakfast kitchen where everything is provided, including a dishwasher and the clothes washer/dryer. Your bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers and bedside wall lights with funky colour controls if you wish to use them. The ensuite bathroom features a heated towel rails. The broadband download/upload speeds are good if you need to WFH.

There is a large pebbled patio area with a furniture setting and a BBQ which shares the great views.

This is an ideal home location for people who are into the outdoors. You can step outside with your pack on your back and be at a climbing crag in 10 minutes, and cycling and hiking trails right at the doorstep. It’s just a short walk down the hill to the infamous Moon Inn pub and Toll Bar chippy, and a few other worthwhile restaurants and a bar.

Buses run from the village to Sheffield and Chesterfield fairly regularly, and the nearest train station is about 3.5 miles away in Grindleford (roughly a 7 minute drive). There is ample street parking.

You’ll be sharing with an Aussie expat who works on a hybrid office/working from home basis at an engineering job and loves a friendly sense of community in the house.

The monthly rental of £600 includes all bills, council tax and internet.
