Airy and bright furnished double room available now in New Mills. Room is on the first floor with a beautiful view over the valley (and the Swizzels candy factory!). There is space in the garden if you want to grow things, and a lovely patio if you just want to sit outside and enjoy nature. There’s a shared bath on the first floor and a downstairs w/c. Kitchen has a dishwasher and an induction hob. Shared dining room and lounge. There’s space in the loft and the attached garage for storage and some room for items of furniture (depending on size). Room can be unfurnished if you need it to be.

Generally easy street parking, with train service into Manchester (30min on train) and the 358 bus to Stockport both within a 10-15min walk. £600/month all bills included.

Accessibility - the house is on a steep hill. There is a steep slope with some steps down to the house and then a step to enter the house. Downstairs w/c, upstairs family bath has a tub with shower over.

I’m a middle aged queer person who enjoys cooking and gardening. I love to make things and I do a lot of different crafts. I keep to myself and am out of the house a lot. When I am home I will probably be reading, watching TV, catching up on household chores, or working on my craft projects. It’s not a party household - neighbours are quiet but friendly. I am looking for someone who appreciates a calm and respectful atmosphere.

Non-negotiables:
-Non smoking house (this means vapes too) - smoke or vape outside only
-Vegetarian kitchen - it’s fine to bring cooked/prepared meat into the house but no cooking/storing raw meat
-It would be hard to share a kitchen if you are gluten intolerant - I have a weekly sourdough baking routine (starter from 2018!) and frequently bake other things as well. Bonus is if you like to eat baked goods ;)
