Double room close to hospital

My double room in my house is available after Christmas this year. I currently live with my two friends - one is a nurse in the hospital, the other a doctor, and I’m a GP. I’m leaving to go travelling in January. The room is available for at least 3 months, and possibly long term for the right person.

We are a sociable house, and the house has become a warm, family like environment. We currently share the cooking, but this is a casual arrangement you are welcome to join or not. I have a dog (Labrador) and my housemate has a dog (spaniel). My dog won’t be there, but the spaniel is very friendly and for this reason we would consider someone with a (well behaved!) dog. Either way, you will need to have some basic dog awareness (perhaps letting them in the garden if you’re first home at night or feeding them, or shutting them away correctly). This isn’t onerous but it’s a responsibility you need to feel comfortable having.

The house was newly built 3 years ago to a really good spec. It’s been fully decorated inside. There is a large kitchen diner with a great kitchen, big table and sofa, and a separate living room with tv (iPlayer and Netflix). Upstairs there are 3 double rooms. The room advertised isn’t en-suite, but 90% of the time you have the family bathroom to yourself, as the other 2 bedrooms have en-suites. There is a further small room used for guests / storage. There is a garage which we store surf boards, bikes, coats, camping stuff in etc with a washing machine and tumble drier.

We like the outdoors: between us we do surfing, climbing, cycling, running, walking, tennis, squash, gym, camping etc, and we love having an evening in cooking together and watching some tv / chatting, but equally we have busy lives so sometimes go some time without seeing each other! It’s a nice balance, and we’re all proud to live here.

The house is kept to a really good standard. We are all tidy, and make sure the communal areas are clean and presentable. There’s a cleaner weekly.
