Description
Two lodger rooms available in lovely seaside home for short term let until 17th July 2025, one double and one single both fully furnished. We (mum 46, boy 9 and girl 7) currently live in Bristol and so are only around during some school holidays and the odd weekend. The rest of the time you will have the house to yourselves, though I may possibly consider the occasional very short term let on the third bedroom also (another large double), but in general we want to keep it for our own use. We will be around to do viewings 4th - 11th November, but please contact me to discuss if you can't make these dates but would still like to view. I am also open to sensible offers if someone wants to rent the whole house exclusively for some or all of the period.
PLEASE NOTE: My daughter is very strongly allergic to cats (very painful reactions) so we can't take on anyone who has lived in a house with cats in the last two years, as the allergens remain on clothes and other belongings for a surprisingly long time, so this is very important to us, thank you.
The house has an excellent central yet quiet location just 250 yards / 4 minutes walk from the historic Brixham harbour with all its fab restaurants cafes and coastal walks. There are 3 stunning local coves and beaches within 10-15 mins walk (see photos), an outdoor pool, half a dozen more beaches within a 10 minute drive, and beautiful Dartmouth a short ferry hop away.
It’s a recently refurbished 3 bedroom Victorian terrace cottage, cosy but open plan so bright and airy, mod cons include induction hob, broadband, smart tv, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. All living spaces, including living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom are shared, there is also a second toilet downstairs and a sunny outdoor courtyard garden on two levels. There is a sea view from the very top of the garden but you'd need to climb a very tall ladder to get there! Council tax, water, gas, elec, broadband and tv licence are included.
The double bedroom is bright and spacious taking up the whole top floor, with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside units. The mattress is a super comfy nearly new £650 luxury Casper memory foam hybrid.
The single room is also nice and bright and currently has two single beds with comfy Casper mattresses, I can either take one bed out or push them together to form a larger bed, whichever is preferred. There is a bedside unit and two built in cupboards with a clothes rail and several shelves for clothes. I will remove the kids books and pictures etc.
There is residents street parking outside (permits available from the council for £30 per year or I can buy day permits from the council at a cost of £1 per day ).
