The property is well located, 10 minutes from the ancient woodlands of Hembury and Holne, through which the River Dart runs. This area is popular for wild swimming and walking.

Dartington Hall, with its historic gardens, lies on the route to Totnes, which is 6.5 miles away. Totnes itself is 7.3 miles from the property and is known for its independent shops and cafés.

Buckfastleigh offers a range of amenities within walking distance, including a health food shop (Seeds), a post office, chemist, the Dartmoor Wellbeing Centre, and a local Co-op. Buckfast Abbey, with its gardens, restaurant, and gift shop, is also nearby.

The South Devon coast, with its beaches and coastal walks, can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by car.
