Lovely Home near Hospital

Our new-build home is in Edginswell, within easy walking distance of Torbay Hospital. We're looking to share with relaxed, tidy and friendly people who will all feel at home here as much as we do. Ideally you would be a junior doctor working at the hospital, or a healthcare professional: in the past we have shared with doctors, a pharmacist, and placement students in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. We have also had a lovely vet with us. Our interests include travel, food, swimming/gym, and of course dog walking around the woods, moors, and beaches of Devon and Cornwall.

The front door leads to a hallway with shoe cupboard, hanging space, downstairs loo etc. The kitchen is the nerve-centre of the home, with all usual appliances and utensils (incl. dishwasher) and cutlery/crockery and glassware for your use, as well as storage space for food. There is a breakfast bar, and large dining table for socialising and board games. This kitchen/diner leads out via double doors to a sunny patio and lawned area with additional seating, hammock, and planting. There are two further garden areas with lawns, planting and a large garden shed/summer house. The utility room has our washing machine as well as further storage space, and room for other shoes and coats, with a back door. The living room has sofa, armchair and extra seating, large tv, hi-fi, and grand piano. There is a garage with ample storage space for bikes and surf boards, and there is plenty of additional parking space nearby.

Windows have plantation shutters, and en-suite windows have blinds. Upstairs there are two available bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms and tv aerial points for you to choose from: Room 1 is a double, with chair, and cream double wardrobe and bedside table both coordinated with the bed frame. The en-suite is quite spacious, with views from both windows across the rooftops of Edginswell to distant hills. Room 2 is a reasonably-sized single, with chair, oak wardrobe and chest-of-draws, bedside table, and further storage within the en-suite, with lane views from both windows. We provide you with bedding, towels, and hangers. There is also a family bathroom. Wifi is available throughout the house.

These rooms are priced generously for the space, surrounding area, home comforts and facilities. The 12 bus stop is less than five minutes away, and doctors or hospital workers can walk to work in around ten minutes. The Kingskerswell bypass is easily accessible, making Exeter just 30 minutes away (depending on traffic), or Totnes via Marldon under 15 minutes. For socialising nearby, there is The Wighton and The Hare and Hounds. The Willows is a short distance away for shopping, and further up the lane you are in the countryside with great walks.
