Description

Hi,

We are looking for a second housemate for our house share in St Leonards. I bought the house in October and Steff (a friend of a friend) moved in in January.

The house is an absolute gem with lovely shared spaces and a sunny courtyard garden perfect for bbqs. The location is also fantastic. Cedars road is a very quiet street (dead end) and is just a 5 minute walk to: the quay (perfect for summer evenings - though you will have to cross over to get to the climbing centre), the Hour Glass (lovely friendly local with great food) and Magdalene road with a fishmongers, butchers, deli, greeengrocers, packetless shop, bakery, the Mount Radford Pub (shows all the sports) and an excellent cafe. The centre of town, the hospital, waitrose and the cinema are all a 10-15 minute walk away.

I've had many happy years living in shared houses and am looking for someone that will consider this a home not just a place to stay. I'm pretty busy in the evenings at the moment with work but I'd be keen to to share meals as a house at times and I'm very happy to cook for others as well as myself, ideally I'd like someone with a similar outlook.

We are both keen on time outdoors whether that be strolls on the moor (followed by lunch in the pub?), swimming, sailing or cycling, beers down on the quay or in town, live music, theatre or anything else interesting. I've been enjoying watching Fleabag and His Dark Materials recently while Steff enjoys the odd hard hitting documentary! It would be fantastic to find someone social with similar interests and a great sense of humour ;-).

Amenity wise the house has a double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and pretty much all the kitchen stuff you'd need. There is a log burner in the sitting room a 4/6 person table in the dining room, sonos bluetooth speakers in kitchen and dining room and a Samsung smart TV with a firestick in the sitting room. There is a large bath and good shower as well as a large capacity washing machine and drying space in the bathroom.

The bedroom is a south east facing double and has a modern oak bed, brand new Ikea mattress, chest of drawers, mirror wardrobe with hanging space and shelving above and below. The window is large and has a blackout blind and curtains.

There is free parking on the street at weekends and between 6pm and 10am on weekdays, there are also 60 visitors permits available over the year but both residential permits have gone so it would probably suit someone who drives to work or doesn't need to keep their car on the street. We can find space for another bike!

Look forward to hearing from you!
