Description

We have 1 double room in a 4 bedroom house. There are 2 people already living in 2 of the rooms. The house owners are a creative and open minded couple who are away a lot, sometimes pop in to stay briefly in the 3rd small room.

The house is currently for sale, but the room will be available to the end of March minimum and quite possibly for longer.

The room over looks the front of the house with a good view of Exeter. On the second floor, it can easily fit a double bed, a desk, shelving and has two large builylt in wardrobes. The house is warm even without the heating on (but happy to use heating as needed) and the room gets the morning sun. The room is unfurnished ( apart from the inbuilt wardrobes), and comes with with 2 screens for privacy.

The Terrace house has quirky, arty decor. It is completely a non smoking house. There are 2 floors, 4 bedrooms, an upstairs full bathroom with shower over bath, a separate toilet, an open plan kitchen, a sizable living room and a conservatory. There is Fiber Optic Broardband. The backyard is very long with lots of room to use and grow if desired. We are located on a main road with easy on street parking and the M5 is close by.

Its a 15 minutes walk to town centre or the historic quay area, that has the Exe river and cycle paths. It is a 5 minute walk to St. Thomas shopping district with cafes, restaurants, take-away and supermarkets. We have a great local shop and post office few minute walk away and a great local pub (The Cowick Barton). The Cowick Barton Playing Fields is a lovely park and is a stroll down the hill and the Exeter Green Circle walking trail is close by.

We are laid back household with interests in swing dancing, currents events, creative arts, tabletop games and computer games.

Happy for people to have gatherings but no wild-trashing parties.

Lodging on the room is £500 per month.
All bills, council tax and Broadband is approx. £150 per person per month
A Deposit of £500 is needed.
A successful applicant will need a reference and we will ask permission to do a credit check.
Students are welcome and they can apply for council tax discount with the local council.

We are a LGBTQ+ trans, neurodiverse friendly home. We are looking for someone nice and considerate who is able to contribute to the communal cleaning and treating this as their home.

Happy to consider cats who spend time outdoors and also outdoor chickens. I'm sorry, we can't accommodate other pets due to allergies etc
